Website Promotion and Monitoring

If i’ve been fortunate enough to have developed your website then the foundations for your online marketing strategy have already been laid down during the development phase. There may however come a time when your competitors grow and you start to see your website dropping on the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).  That’s why Website Promotion and Monitoring is important to stay ahead of the competition.

There are various techniques for Website Promotion and Monitoring, the key ones as I see them are:

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Even if I did the initial SEO from the Get-Go on your website, over time competition will have grown, lowering your placement on the SERPs.  We will review, benchmark and develop a new set of keywords and key phrases to improve your ranking.

Reciprocal Links

Overlooked and often abused, Reciprocal Links still have a place in marketing your website as long as the site your are linking to (and by definition links back to you) is relevant to your website and holds a good reputation.

Social Media Marketing (SMM)

As part of my design process I incorporate all the tools necessary for you and your visitors to promote your web pages, articles, blog posts and images across the leading social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest).

Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

This is where you pay search engines to advertise your website at the top of the organic SERPs.  I personally see this method as a last resort and only should be used if all other methods of promoting your site have failed.

Blog Content

Content is King and none more so than your blog post. Consider each page of your website, you have one shot at optimising a key word or key phrase. Creating an informative blog post that covers a different aspect of the said page with links to it and yo add another string to the SEO bow.

As well as the built-in server-side statistics that are provided by my hosting package, Google Analytics can be used to monitor and track your website traffic.  Report packages are available so as you can track and monitor the success of your marketing campaign.
