Ski Apartment Serre Chevallier
Wendy and Alan were referred to me by an existing client to create a new website for their ski holiday apartment in the Serre Chevalier region of the French Alps. The goal was to create a clean, multilingual website that captured the essence of holidaying in the winter months.
Design Approach
An initial meeting with the clients was held to discuss and agree upon a sitemap of what information was necessary and what additional information was required to convince the visitor to stay in their apartment. From that a sitemap was quickly developed making the structure of the site easier to develop. A custom Joomla template was created with a fresh and stylish layout and a colour scheme that reflected the winter holiday season. Information regarding the facilities, location of the hotel and information on the transportation options was given to help the visitor organise their holiday. The original unresponsive website, built on the Joomla! CMS platform was designed in 2007. In 2017 the website was migrated over to Wordpress to become faster and mobile friendly (responsive).
