Compilations

When asked to contribute to compilations I usually try to provide new tracks, mixes or alternative recordings to those found on my albums. Below are the CD's I've featured on to date.

'We Bring You a King With a Head of Gold - Dark Britannica II'

A fantastic double CD set on Cold Spring Records compiled as a follow up the award winning 2007 release 'John Barlycorn Reborn - Dark Britannica I'. Tash & myself are honoured to be featured alongside some of our favourite underground folk acts such as Telling The Bees, Tinkerscuss, The Hare & The Moon, The Rowan Amber Mill & Corncrow to name but a few. Our track 'Jack The Mommet' is an early (though not hugely different) mix from that which appears on the Stories For Emily album.

'Riverbanks'

Compilation album featuring 16 acoustic artists from the Worcestershire/Hereordshire/West Midlands area released to raise money for The County Air Ambulance Trust. Inlcudes a new version of 'Rising River' recorded in June 2009 with Natasha Tranter on accordion and Holly Jeffery on fiddle & backing vocals.

'Now Thats What I Call Sauce Volume 2 - Play It Not So Loud'

The acoustic edition of the 2009 Worcester Music Festival compilation. Includes 'To Fly a Plane', same recording as on 'Trapped At Sea' but with a new mix: We accidently left off all 5 of the percussion tracks when doing the final album mix in February 09 (and failed to notice until it was too late)! This version has them all back in the mix creating a lovely textured shuffle in the background!
